Clint was more confused than ever. He didn’t know what Natasha was trying to tell him or whether it would lead him toward matrimony or misery.

“I was jealous of what you had with a woman who’s been gone a long time.” She shook her head, looking disgusted with herself. “I was being ridiculous. I wanted to believe that I was the love of your life.”

“You are, baby.” He held her tight, wishing he could say or do more to convince her he spoke the truth.

“I believe everything you told me about your relationship with Julie,” Natasha said. “And I want to thank you for having the courage to share it with me.”

“Of course,” he said, cupping her face. “I want us to be able to talk about anything, honey. I should have told you before. You shouldn’t have had to find out the way you did.”

“It doesn’t matter how I found out. What matters is the way I reacted and what it taught me.”

“Go on,” Clint said, as his heart stuttered.

“Whether I was your first love or not is irrelevant.” She brushed her lips against his. “There’s only one title I want.”

“What’s that?” Clint asked, finally feeling as though this conversation might turn out the way he wanted it to.

  “Your wife.”

His wide grin nearly split his face. “Done.”

“Remember I said there are different types of relationships?” she asked, curling her arms around his neck. “There are temporary relationships, just meant to teach us something, and there are never-ending relationships that not even death can sever.”

Clint closed his eyes as she leaned into him. He wrapped his arms around her, feeling secure in the knowledge that he would never have to let her go. “I couldn’t agree more.”

“You and I… we’re that forever kind, Clint.”

“Yeah, we are.” He tipped her head back to kiss her. “We definitely are.”

The Final Book in the Texas Titans Series, Possession

Dalton Mitchell lived a charmed life. He had the big football contract, endless parties, beautiful women and he was doing what he loved. Until it all ended. He had to figure out how to start over and the one person he’d been counting on to help him was bailing on him to pursue her own dream.

Sophie Easton never intended to fall for Dalton. It was supposed to be a diversion. But harmless flirting led to steamy nights between the sheets Sophie feared had ruined her for all other men. When she got her big break in Los Angeles she knew she had to take it… even if it meant leaving Dalton behind.
